How to change your current DNS

HOW TO CHANGE YOUR DOMAIN NAMESERVERS (DNS)

If you were another hosting’s customer before us, you will have to set up new hosting for your website. It is very simple, however it is necessary to pass through this procedure. It is called: changing DNS.(domain name server) First thing you will have to do is remembering your domain registrar, as well as username and password for logging in existing account at your domain registrar. Let us remind you that domain registrars are the companies who can register domains in Internet.

========================================================================
CHANGING DNS

After making a DNS change it need 24-48 hours for completion. During the propagation time routers are updating their cache. Therefore, your site is up and down arbitrarily during the first 48 hours. Think of this process like a zip code. If zip code is not put on your mail, the post office is unable to send it as information is not enough. Domains are programmed in the same way, internet does not know to which server your request should be sent to, if they don’t have DNS.

MAKING THE CHANGES

Every registrar has a different way to change your domain DNS, but the base is almost the same. You will receive welcome email form us, which provides you with the name servers you need to change your domain to. Then you will have to take those name servers to the place you bought your domain and fill them in for your domain name. Your name servers should look like this:
* ns1.m9host.com
* ns2.m9host.com
(Do not use them if you are not told so in welcome email)
